developing calm and centredness,
balance and co-ordination.
Newcomers very welcome.
Taught by Jo Hale, at Woodlands Natural Health Centre,
Derby.
“ The class has enabled me to identify areas
within my own body that have restricted me physically and emotionally
for a long time. I have been able to gain back some of my personal power
and flexibility, understand the reasons behind the exercises and adapt
to the process of change within myself. My stamina, self-confidence and
balance are improved, as is my core stability and postural awareness.
It has helped me to enjoy exercise again! “ Julie.

Living Healthily with the Seasons
“ My health was in a very fragile state,
the slightest thing pushing me into illness. Then I started the Qigong
classes and they made me feel stronger each time I came out of them,
which has helped me regain my health again. It helps in my everyday life – I
feel calmer and more centred, able to deal with problems in a more relaxed
way. It’s brilliant, I would recommend it to everyone! “
“I decided to try Qigong after being diagnosed with MS.
It has helped me enormously with my balance and co-ordination, and has
given me a better understanding of my own body and how it works.
I find now that I am more calm and centred than ever. As a result of
my increased self-awareness, I feel much more confident about the future
and less worried about MS. “
“ As a very new student, I am already feeling the benefit of this
gentle
but very powerful discipline. I love it and feel extremely
energised afterwards. “
“ I experience a lot of benefits from Qigong. For myself, I have
become more centred and balanced, not only in my movements, but also
in my behaviour. The discipline of concentration, and always returning
to the centre in exercises, has helped me to do this. When I am with
others I am more aware of me, my feelings and reactions. Awakening the
lower dantien not only helps me move more effectively, it gets me in
touch with how I feel and react to others. Qigong has also enhanced my
Tai Chi practice – giving me better balance through awareness of
moving
around the tai chi pole. I am also more aware of the small subtle movements
of the body that are essential for effective Tai Chi. “
“ The class has enabled me to identify areas within my own body
that have both restricted me physically and emotionally for a long time.
I have been able to gain back some of my personal power and flexibility,
understand the reasons behind the exercises, and adapt to the process
of change within myself. Qigong practice has improved my stamina, self-confidence
and balance, improved my core stability, and made me posture aware. It
has helped me enjoy exercise again! “
